Don Bosco School-Borivli-CBSE

The Blue House Day celebration

The Blue House Day celebration at Don Bosco School, Borivli, held on 16th September 2025 in the Undercroft Area, was a vibrant and purposeful event centered around environmental awareness. In the lead-up to the celebration, students participated in a colouring activity on 15th September, creating artwork that reflected themes such as water conservation, clean air, and marine life protection. These colourful pieces were displayed along the school corridors, while teachers enhanced the atmosphere with themed class boards.

On the day of the event, the school welcomed dignitaries including Rev. Fr. Manuel Murzello, Mrs. Grenita Machado, and Mrs. Marina Corda, who joined teachers and students in the festivities. The program began with prayers and a warm introduction by Tr. Serena, followed by a spirited Blue House parade. Student leaders took center stage, with Schneider from class III B portraying Don Bosco and Mercury from class III C representing Saint Mother Teresa. Their presentations were part of a series of advocacy activities that emphasized the importance of environmental stewardship. Fr. Rector delivered an inspiring speech, and the event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Kian Fernandes from class III C. Zac Britto from class IV C served as the compere, guiding the program with confidence and clarity. Students dressed in blue outfits and brought healthy blue-themed snacks, adding a creative and nutritious touch to the celebration. A group photo session captured the joyful spirit of the day, and recognition was given through “Well Done” cards -ten each for outstanding coloring and food presentations-celebrating the students’ efforts and enthusiasm.
