On 6th September 2025, a seminar for teachers was conducted by our Rector, Rev. Fr. Manuel Murzello, at Don Bosco High School, Borivli. The session began with general instructions regarding the upcoming visit of the Father Provincial on the 9th and 10th of December 2025. Fr. Rector encouraged all teachers to communicate with students in English at all times to promote language consistency and discipline across the campus.
He then elaborated on the administrative structure of the Salesian institutions, governed by the Don Bosco Constitution and the Provincial Directory. The hierarchy flows from the Rector Major and his Council, to the Provincial and Council, and finally to the Rector of individual institutions and his council.
The Strenna for the year 2025–2026, “Do whatever He tells you,”—the words of Mother Mary to Jesus—was highlighted as a guiding message for all educators. Fr. Murzello also emphasized the responsibility of teachers as protectors of the environment. He spoke about the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—stressing the urgent need for environmental awareness and how our actions today affect future generations. He reminded everyone that God is present in creation, and protecting it is a sacred duty.
The session concluded with reflections from our late Father Principal, who once said, “The most important thing is not what you teach but who you are—the medium is more important than the message.” The seminar ended with heartfelt thanks to Fr. Rector for his inspiring and thought-provoking session.
