The festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy by the primary students on the 13th and 14th of September 2025 at Don Bosco High School, Borivli. On the 13th, students of Std 1 & 2 decorated earthen diyas with vibrant colours and glitter, while students of Std 3 and 4 created beautiful lanterns. The colourful diyas and lanterns were displayed in the corridors, spreading a warm and festive glow that truly captured the spirit of Diwali.
The celebration continued on the 14th with a beautiful prayer service, where students thanked God for the light of knowledge, love, and peace in their lives. This was followed by the children joyfully sharing Diwali sweets and exchanging greetings with one another. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and a sense of togetherness.
Diwali is a festival that reminds us of the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. It brings a sense of hope, happiness, and renewal. The bright decorations, the cheerful faces of the students, and the spirit of sharing made the celebration truly memorable — a time to spread joy, kindness, and positivity all around.
