Diwali Assembly / Article Making / Celebration

The Diwali celebrations at school often mean a festive look with diyas and lanterns adorning the class. The activities fill the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness and hope. The students of the pre-primary section celebrated the festival of Diwali with great enthusiasm. Our young Savioites proved that creativity and talent do not have boundaries. On this joyous occasion and to explain more about the festival, an assembly was organised on Friday, 27th October 2023 by the students of Sr .kg along with their teachers. The beautiful thought of the assembly filled everyone’s hearts and minds with love and harmony. The students talked about the significance of the festival – how good always conquered the evil and about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. The wonderful presentation of the assembly by the students instilled a sense of victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.

The Diwali celebration would have been incomplete without the beautiful Diwali articles made by our school children. So, to keep the Spirit of Diwali alive, we had a Diwali article-making activity for the students of Senior Kg and Junior Kg on 31st October 2023. The entire presentation filled the hearts of all students with the spirit of Diwali. The children surprised us with their creativity and ideas. The beautiful articles were displayed in the corridor.

Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an array of lights. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, the students of the pre-primary section had a celebration in the class on 3rd November 2023. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. The teachers organised games and the children danced their hearts out.
