BLUE HOUSE DAY CELEBRATION – STANDARDS I TO IV
Blue House Day for Standards I to IV was celebrated on 19th October, while the Blue House activities were conducted on Friday, 16th October. The celebration was filled with enthusiasm, creativity and a spirit of togetherness as students dressed in shades of blue and participated in various engaging activities.
As part of the creative activities, the students of Grade 1 made beautiful paper chains, Grade 2 created hanging raindrops, Grade 3 designed a whale collage, and Grade 4 crafted paper plate sharks. These colourful creations showcased the students’ imagination and artistic skills.
The day began with the Blue House students dressed in blue, adding vibrancy to the celebration. A special theme assembly was conducted by the Blue House teachers and students. The students spoke about the colour blue, conveyed the importance of saving water and highlighted the inspiring life and teachings of the Blue House leaders, St. John Bosco and Mother Teresa. The students were guided by Ms. Sonal Pereira, while Tr. Gloria Vaz delighted the audience with a beautiful poem on the colour blue.
To make the celebration more interactive, a quiz on the colour blue was conducted in the respective classrooms. This was followed by an engaging Object Talk, during which students spoke for a minute about any blue object of their choice, enhancing their confidence and speaking skills.
The celebration concluded on a happy note, with students from each standard capturing photographs to cherish the memorable occasion. Blue House Day was a wonderful blend of learning, creativity and environmental awareness, reminding everyone of the importance of saving water and following the values of kindness, compassion and service to others.
