Tricolour Day was celebrated in the class today. The children came dressed in the colours of the Indian National Flag Orange, white, green and blue. The teacher introduced the colours of the national flag and encouraged the children to repeat the names of the colours after her. The teacher also sang the song “Hum Honge Kamyab” and encouraged the children to repeat the song after her. The children participated enthusiastically and enjoyed singing along with the teacher.
Paper Crumpling Activity
As a part of the Tricolour Day celebration, the teacher conducted a paper crumpling activity. India map worksheets were distributed and the children were given coloured crepe paper in Orange, green and blue. The teacher first demonstrated how to crumple the paper and paste it onto the India map worksheet. She then guided the children in applying glue and sticking the crumple the paper pieces and paste it, on to the India map work sheet. She then guided the children in applying glue and sticking the crumple paper pieces in the correct places. The activity helped to develop the children’s fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and creativity while reinforcing their recognition of the colours of the national flag. The children participated enthusiastically and thoroughly enjoyed the activity.
